Julie and Kyle are like my most favorite couple EVER. (Of course you all are, but you know- SQUEE!) They are just adorable. Kyle is strong and supportive and is there for Julie pretty much no matter what. And Julie is the hardest worker, the most creative person with a million ideas always going through her head and all of them AWESOME. I would personally steal her cake table, girl scout cookie s'more idea (she basically cleaned out a whole troop), and probably rip her dress and floral crown from her and run into the woods with it if I didn't just like HER so much too. :)

They of course got married at my favorite venue in the world (how many times I have said that on this blog already?!) The HideOut. The HideOut is owned by BJ & Tom Hoover and was built by hand by themselves and their sons and they still help out at every wedding. I LOVE them, and their whole family and this property to pieces. It is so fun, so unique and just visually stunning. Each wedding I shoot there I try to top the last!

I don't think I've ever shown you guys the road out to the HideOut before, so let's take a little journey!

The Hoover HideOut (as I sometimes like to call it,) is about two hours from Sacramento, or 90 minutes from Tahoe-ish. You drive an hour on the freeway, take some back road, drive an hour into the woods, SLAM on the brakes to avoid missing the turnoff, and then do a quick 2 mile-ish slow drive through a few streams, some meadows and of course, a rock face called Pucker Butt Hill. (For a reason mind you- muddle that name over a minute.) And then, there you are- coming down the mountain into the glorious valley of wedding bonanza-ness!!!

Those boys were getting into some shenanigans with the guns out back! lol

I just absolutely fell in love with the granite as a base for the wedding story with this one!

Julie of course got dressed outside, like so many of my special girls now do!

And then it was time to walk across those huge cliffs overlooking the lake to meet Kyle for their first look!

Because I am a huge nerd, I bought an enlargement of the above right for my office. :)

And then it was time to jam across the lake to the ceremony!

YAY! Congrats Kyle and Julie! Check back soon for part 2, including their girl scout cookie bar!

Robyn and Justin are so in love that they decided to get married not once, but twice! :) Their first ceremony was on a Friday this summer at the gorgeous little wood chapel, "Our Lady of Tahoe," on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. They had a BBQ beach reception that night at Zephyr Cove Resort and celebrated Robyn's birthday too! Justin's mom is German, and there were tons of German traditions infused into all parts of the weddings, from the appearance of lederhosen, special drinks, to stocking caps, to a log sawing ceremony, something I've always wanted to see since I studied German a couple of years ago! (And I am German as well!)
On Saturday, everyone gathered back at Zephyr Cove for a beach side ceremony and a party under the stars. Such an amazing weekend!

This amazing lady right here is the original owner of Robyn's wedding dress! She wore the dress at her wedding in the 1950's, and her daughter, Robyn's godmother wore that same gown at her 1980's wedding. While Robyn's beloved godmother has sadly passed away, these ladies were just giddy with excitement over this unique way Robyn chose to honor her godmother, and to see how amazingly well this gown has held up over the last 60 years!

And now for some couple's time! We shot these in the wooded area just behind Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Church, which is where Friday's ceremony took place. This was the first service I think where I was called out during the ceremony by the priest, Father Oliver I think was his name, and he informed me I had a very special and important job on this day- to take as many pictures as humanly possible so that Roby and Justin can reflect back on these images throughout the ups and downs of their future together and remember the love they each brought with them when they started this journey! It was very sweet!

I just love all of that lace on Robyn's vintage gown!

After the catholic service, there was a short break before the sunset BBQ on the beach that night! A very informal reception, everybody chipped in to make the evening great. Justin's mom even knit Robyn and Justin a set of stocking caps as a gift, and Justin wore lederhosen! (He looked AWESOME!) Friday was also Robyn's birthday so there was also a cake for her, as well as a cake for Justin and Robyn together, which they practiced cutting and feeding for the big event on Saturday!

This amazing bride of mine loves the outdoors, and loved her husband! As a sweet surprise, the bride snuck the groom's beloved car out of the house and up to a hiking trail by their home that they love to walk together! We shot the entire session outdoors, on this amazing mountain top at sunset. Best boudoir ever!

Jennifer & Evan married at the brand new private estate wedding venue Stone Ranch. Under the willow trees alongside the lake, they had their First Look and own private ceremony with each other. Jennifer wore an heirloom ring from her Greek Grandmother, and wore two dresses on the big day! At sunset, we whisked around that same lake for a few sunset shots and were able to glance back at the amazing party lights twinkling on the water across from us. It was incredibly romantic, and the images are stunning!

https://eheizerphotography.zenfolio.com/blog/2013/6/pink-wedding-dress-at-inn-at-park Pink Wedding Dress at The Inn at Park Winters Wedding

Jennifer & Brian were married at The Inn at Park Winters on Saturday. Jennifer is a bride of style and class, and by class, I mean classic. She loves tradition, but she also loves modernity. Jennifer loves children, and she adores her new niece and nephew! Jennifer desperately wished to take an image of her new niece wearing her wedding gown so she could give it to her on her wedding day. The most special thing about this, for any little girl is that Jennifer's wedding dress is of course pink. What could make any little girl's fantasy more perfect? A pink wedding dress? Fantastic!

Jennifer and Brian's ring bearer and flower girl were all too happy to twirl and spin and model for me over the day. Our ring bearer friend needed a little warming up but he did great too! I am so proud of them! They did great at their jobs and marched down the aisle very tall and proud! :)
